viii Powerful Head-to-toe Prayers in the Bible: Office 1
Frequently, nosotros forget to pray specific, powerful prayers. Like prayers taken directly from God's Word that are powerful when spoken over our lives.
And so, in this 2-part series, we address viii of the bug we face every bit believers from head to toe. And the powerful help we need from the Bible.
This week we cover prayers for our mind, eyes, ears, and rima oris. Merely, delight, as well use these powerful prayers for your spouse, children, family, and friends.
(one.) Heed
Scripture:
"Prepare your minds on things above, not on earthly things" Colossians iii:2 NIV.
"What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but…from God, so that nosotros may sympathise….We have the mind of Christ" 1 Corinthians two:12,xvi NIV.
"Practice non conform to the pattern of this globe, only exist transformed by the renewing of your mind" Romans 12:2a NIV.
"…whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable…call back about such things" Philippians four:8 NIV.
"Nosotros destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every idea captive to obey Christ." two Corinthians 10:5 ESV.
Prayer: Father God, Yous created my heed, so I submit information technology to Your care. Help me ready my mind on eternal things. And taking every thought captive, making it obedient to Your truth. I cast out every prevarication from the enemy. Help me meditate on what is truthful, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, and excellent of praise. Let Your Spirit renew my mind daily in Your Discussion. Give me the listen of Christ. In Jesus' proper noun. Amen.

(2.) Eyes
Scripture:
Deceived by the snake, Eve ate the forbidden fruit and gave it to Adam. "…when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a please to the eyes…" Genesis iii:6a ESV.
Do not love the things in the world…the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes (run into 1 John 2:15-16).
David evaluates integrity. "I will not prepare before my eyes annihilation that is worthless" Psalm 101:3a ESV.
Prayer: Lord, Your Word reminds me how my eyes tin can cause me to sin. Assistance me turn my optics away from lust and temptations like overspending, addictions, and sexual immorality. I want integrity in Yous. So help me non set certain things before my optics including stuff on TV and online. It doesn't bring honour to Y'all, merely defiles my flesh. And stunts my growth in You. In Jesus' name. Amen.

(3.) Ears
Scripture:
"Diligently listen to the vocalisation of the Lord." Give ear to his commandments. Keep all his statutes. (See Exodus 15:26 ESV).
"Your ears volition hear a word behind you, 'This is the fashion, walk in information technology'" Isaiah 30:21a NASB.
In Zechariah 7, the Lord calls for kindness, justice, and mercy. "They refused to pay attention…and stopped their ears that they might non hear" (verse 11 ESV).
"They will not endure sound doctrine…wanting to have their ears tickled, they volition accrue…teachers…to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth…turn bated to myths" 2 Timothy four:3-iv NASB.
"Behold, I stand up at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come up in…dine with him and he with Me" Revelation 3:twenty NASB.
Prayer: God, I desire to be a child who diligently listens to my heavenly Father's vocalization. To really hear Your truth. Bear witness me the fashion by opening my ears to Your vocalization. Never stopping up my ears like a stubborn child. But welcoming Your truth in my life and never turning away to myths. When I accepted Christ as Savior, I opened the door of my centre to You for the first fourth dimension. At present, assist me hear You knock and so I may dine with Y'all daily. In Jesus' name. Amen.
(iv.) Mouth
Scripture:
"Allow the words of my mouth…be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my stone and my redeemer" Psalm 19:14 ESV.
"Set a baby-sit, O Lord, over my mouth; go on watch over the door of my lips!" Psalm 141:3 ESV.
"Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord…" Proverbs 12:22a ESV.
"Let no unwholesome word continue from your oral fissure." Merely merely…as is good foredification…grace to those who hear (see Ephesians 4:29 ESV).
"Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor rough joking, which are out of identify, simply instead let there be thanksgiving" Ephesians v:4 ESV.
Prayer: Lord, I pray the words of my mouth are acceptable to You and I continue my lips from lies. Set a guard over my mouth so that instead of foolish words, they requite grace and build others upwards. Let my mouth praise You with thanksgiving. In Jesus' name. Amen.
